Poetic Realism by Nixon Lee

I am trying to find the most suitable angle to view the subjects just as they are. I am also trying to explore some deep humanity issues which I ingested deeply into my own thoughts. I always ask what the “truth” in my images is, so I started to film “raw” images. This very easily impacts my creative process so that there are many repressed emotions buried inside the images. ~ Nixon Lee

Nixon is a 'poetic realism' photographer. He was born in Hong Kong where he studied fine art at his high school. After that he studied in a film school in Taiwan. He was exhibited in Taiwan after he graduated and filmed in Beijing for a while. Also filmed in Hong Kong for most of his life. He even filmed Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Hong Kong government official before it collapsed. He moved to the UK and continues his journey in 'poetic realism' photography. Instagram @n_ixon
