Since its inception 14 years ago, the Edinburgh Art Fair has become Scotland’s premier Art Fair and the largest event of its kind in the UK outside London.
Returning to the Corn Exchange this November (23rd – 25th) with 60+ galleries and thousands of artworks of both national and international standing, the EAF prides itself with bringing a range of high quality artwork and internationally acclaimed names to Edinburgh. Whilst last year saw the work from the likes of David Hockney and Sir Peter Blake in addition to emerging artists, with many returning and new galleries this year is set to be just as exciting.
Abiding by the slogan ‘Art For Everyone’, EAF provides three art filled days not only for experienced art enthusiasts and collectors, but first time buyers and also younger visitors.
Edinburgh Art Fair is fully accessible, with a creche and art classes for the younger audience and open easel sessions throughout the weekend for those budding artists looking to create their own masterpieces. Continuing with this theme, this year’s programme presents an exhibition of innovative multi-sensory artwork, carefully selected and curated with the help of recent graduate Marzena Ostromecka. A series of talks and demonstrations will also take place as usual as part of the programme. At EAF we believe art is for everyone, and as long as you have an interest there will be something for you to enjoy.
With thousands of original artworks for sale, including paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, glassware and ceramics, and prices ranging from £100 to £100,000 all tastes and budgets are welcomed. Unlike other fairs, editions are kept to a maximum of 1/100, meaning quality and originality ensured and every purchase is a lasting investment.
This year, expect the likes of galleries from South Korea and China who will be joining exhibitors from UK and Europe, giving EAF a truly international flavour.
