From Vidal Sassoon to VOGUE and David Bailey– Gianni Scumaci has done it all and more… The renowned hairstylist opens the 5th edition of the 2016 Edinburgh International Fashion Festival. City’s Ocean Terminal filled up with curious fashion enthusiasts on Thursday to greet the launch of the brand new and growing annual celebration.
Scumaci, whose career spans over 25 years and who worked with such great names as Benedict Cumberbatch, Christopher Waltz, Prince Harry of Wales, Daniel Craig and many many more, welcomed the fashion event with a lecture-style performance. The hairstyle icon explained aspects of the social function of a hairdresser and talked about his journey from salon industry through fashion to education.
REVIEWSPHERE finds Gianni vividly invigorating, inspiring and clearly well oriented in the world of human appearance!
The day after the big opening we met Mr Scumaci at Edinburgh Waldorf Astoria Hotel for a morning chat.
