Roll up, roll up! The Big Kid Circus is currently touring Scotland and their show is indeed an indulgence in magic, physical art and suspense for the whole family.

The circus, which has been running for many years, was created by spouses Kiril Kirlov and Bili-Anna, who were known as the renowned Duo Jordanov. With a family background and tradition in the international circus world that boasts over 50 years and three generations, showbiz is certainly their gift. After many years of working, the pair decided to combine his skill for business management and her eye for choreography, and together, they created their own distinctive show.

The performance consisted of a variety of acts that rebelled against the nature of bodily science and blended with the complex art of movement. With glittering costumes, atmospheric music and binary lighting, we waited to be dazzled. The audience drew breath as women twisted and flipped high in the air on hoops and with the assistance of merely one rope, and a group of acrobats flew from springboards and summersaulted onto chairs several feet in the air. With one eye-popping routine after the other, the programme was a witness to a beautiful and unusual expression of sport and dance, rarely expressed and seen in Scotland.

The whole event was a jaw-dropping extravaganza and made a nostalgic experience of the circus and exotic entertainment world come alive in the modern day. I almost felt like I had stepped back in time and was viewing an authentic, classic performance from bygone years.

With a succession of superb acts that are sure to impress, The Big Kid Circus is worth catching as it travels around the country and will make a grand day out for kids and parents alike.

  1. Just back home from the circus in Lanark it was yet another fabulous show from start to finish. I go to your show ever year I would recommend it to everyone.

  2. Went to the circus last night in new Brighton it was awful more singing and dancing than anything else would not recommend

  3. Went to the New Brighton show on Saturday 26/02/2018. I agree with Kay above it was more a song & dance show and very little action. We left 15 minutes in to the second half as couldn’t see things improving. Would not go again nor recommend.

  4. Went to your show yesterday ( Errol, Scotland), it was utter guff. The only good thing was the clown, he really was world class, however he was constantly over shadowed by the host, who shouted to loud, acted very badly and for some reason kept singing, why the singing? it was cringy… The show on a whole wasnt worth the money i paid and the ovetpriced kids toys, popcorn (definitely not fresh) and food was bog standard at best and knowingly sub standard at worst. Some of the “petformers” looked disintetested and i left when they couldnt even jump over a skipping rope, whoever choreographed the whole show should step out of yhe 80’s. Ive seen better acts jumping about my local on a friday night. I would definitely not reccomend. Geez my hard earned money back…..The clown though
..He was outstsnding and put hid heart and soul into a very professional performance, the rest of the cast should really follow suit

  5. Went to see this in new Brighton, was amazing l, kids loved it

  6. Went with my grandchildren 18th April awful glad I didn’t pay the full price as it was absolutely terrible
Never see such an unprofessional acts
There equipment had seen better days
The trapeze artists acts were terrible when the acrobats we doing there tricks the guys on the floor were running around with a big foam mat to catch the acrobats jumping from the high frames never seen anything like it in all the circuses I’ve been to please don’t waste your money

  7. Went to Big Kid Circus with my kids, eleven and 7. We all had a fab time. The music was fantastic and the clown was really funny. The kids had a ball and I spent the night listening to them screaming ‘How do they do that !’ The stunts were great and it was great to watch a show full of young people who presented themselves as superb role models for kids. The performers looked like they were really enjoying themselves and were incredibly physically fit, we will go every year now .Fab !

  10. Just returned from an amazing show which was a treat for my granddaughter aged 7. The choreography and acrobatic skills were amazing showcasing some fantastic talent. The male performers showed great strength and looked really happy during the performance. The girls were amazing enhanced by lovely costumes and slick lighting. The clown stole the show with great humour which captivated kids and adults alike. Dancing from the male performers outstanding. All in all we loved every minute

  11. Yesterday Tue 11th June, Gordon Castle Fochabers (Moray) went with my Family, we arrived early our kids were excited.. we were 1st in line waiting with anticipation… To review the Big Kid Circus I can honestly say myself and my family were not disappointed, was a pleasure, friendly relaxed atmosphere can take photos and video of memories not a problem. Plenty on offer at reasonable prices, not there to rip you off, various selection of food, candyfloss, face painting, kids balloons toys ect. It was well worth the wait great music & entertainment had a greatest showman feel to it. A varied mix of different style acts with an assortment of musical themes. The clown is one of the best I have seen he really was the heart of the show kept it all going, very entertaining so so funny! (NO MUSIC HERE LOL!) 😅 Highly recommended don’t miss it! Certainly Will be returning again next year…. Keep up the good work great performers great show. Will return.
