Me Me Me’s 5th Anniversary EP release continues with Man Power’s ‘Monkey’, featuring a remix from Beyonders.

The release follows ‘Sorted’, the first part of a split EP celebrating five years of Man Power’s vital imprint.

‘Monkey’ sees the Newcastle-based artist turn in two acidic originals backed with a re-interpretation from the hotly tipped Beyonders trio. Taking the reigns solo for the title track, Man Power deploys floaty pads, tweaked out 303 lines, and urgent drums, leading to a climactic display of off-kilter synths.

Consisting of Jason Goodings, James Hadfield, and Mal Sharp, whose individual work has seen releases on the likes of Metalheadz, Reinforced, Futureboogie and many more, Beyonders opt for a freaked-out halftime take on ‘Monkey’. Maintaining the bassline and pads of the original, the trio pepper the original with sharp drums, reverberated vocal chops, and heavy subs topped off with deadly flute licks.

Closing out the release is ‘As the Cube is to the Square’, a pumping and emotive house roller complete with twisting basslines and tripped out glitches that seamlessly evolve and mutate for close to 8 minutes.

Man Power’s ‘Monkey’ lands on 8th October.
