Ink Project’s collaboration with Bristol-based/Trinidadian-born singer/songwriter/producer Coreysan continues, with the duo’s third single from 2021’s ‘Rhythm Spirit’ album, select summer 2021 and 2022 festivals, tour support slots with the legendary Red Snapper, plus regular radio airplay from the likes of Don Letts on BBC 6 Music, Dan Hegarty on RTE in Ireland, NTS Radio and many more.
‘New Phase feat. Coreysan’ deals with the lyrical subjects of shedding skin, embracing change and living life to the full, alongside a spacious musical back-drop of hypnotic, sci-fi, ambient dub rhythms, textures and samples, drawing inspiration from the likes of Rhythm & Sound, Another Channel and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, to name but a few.
The release also comes complete with a variety of heavyweight remixes from psychedelic/ambient don DF Tram (Liquid Sound Design), dubby electro/house dancefloor versions from Thievery Corporation’s side project ETHNO and Delonte Rivers (XVI Records/Love Above Records/Banana Hill), before climaxing with Kaya Project’s uplifting and inimitable world fusion version, complete with lush and soothing acoustic guitars, strings, vocals and more.
